"Sinner" blashpemy gothic wall art

This blasphemous "sinner" gothic wall art shows that you've embraced the darker side of life!  The centre of this one-of-a-kind piece is hand-crafted from beautiful walnut burl wood that was originally the bottom drawer of a vintage wardrobe.
 
The old finish was removed, then a coat of black stain was applied. When this was dry, it was sanded back to leave just a hint of black, where the swirling burr pattens had absorbed it more.  Five coats of deep red stain later, it was ready for a trip to the laser for the text engraving.  This was then hand-painted with several layers of Indian ink to give a deep contrast to the surrounding area; once dry, seven layers of gloss lacquer were added to give a super deep and rich shine.  We then made the frame from more reclaimed timber, sprayed that matt black - and it was finally finished.
