Sinner praying hands wall art - gothic wall art

This unique, hand-crafted gothic wall art features skeletal praying hands and the word "sinner", with the letter I corrupted in to an inverted cross. 
 
This bespoke, handcrafted art piece is created from vintage burl wood, using staining techniques more commonly found on high-end guitars.  It showcases everything we know about doing creative stuff with reclaimed wood! The old finish was removed, then a coat of black stain was applied. When this was dry, it was sanded back to leave just a hint of black, where the swirling burr pattens had absorbed it more.  Five coats of deep red stain later, it was ready for a trip to the laser - and then seven coats of gloss lacquer to really make the piece pop (and make it incredibly hard to photograph!).  As if this wasn't enough, we then made the frame from more reclaimed timber, sprayed that black - and it was finally finished.
